The title of this series of work, recently shown at Signal Gallery in London is intended to be both ambiguous whilst simultaneously referring to the primary source of inspiration for the show..

Robert spent time working with a company dealing in house clearances. He was involved in clearing out the homes of those who have died, and had no-one left to carry out this difficult task for them. This made a deep impression on him, finding the casual removal of an entire lifetime’s possessions - however apparently valueless - a heart-wrenching experience. The artist’s response to these experiences is found in his latest body of work.
